3 Socially-Distanced Games For Your Wedding Reception

With the world slowly opening up once again after nearly two years of lockdowns and COVID surges, events are now finding their place in the world once more. This means that weddings that have been postponed are now about to be put in full swing!

However, if your guests are still iffy about mingling too closely with one another, fear not, dear bride! As We’ve put together a list of safe and socially-distanced games for you to stay safe while still giving your guests a great time! It's the best of both worlds!

1. Bride and Groom Trivia

This game is a reception classic. Basically, you and your partner have to come up with a list of trivia questions about yourselves. This list will then be handed over to your hosts, and they will hold a question-and-answer round with your guests! Pretty fun way to keep your guests entertained while you get changed into your reception outfit!

2. Competitive Jenga

Tabletop games could be an effective way to discourage your guests from walking around the room and mingling. Jenga is a classic tabletop game that is guaranteed to bring out the competitive side in everybody and make sure they all have a great time! In competitive Jenga, each table of guests will be provided with their own set of Jenga blocks, which they will then arrange themselves. Your hosts will facilitate the game, and the last group to have their Jenga tower still standing will win a prize! Once again, this is a great way to keep your guests engaged while you’re otherwise preoccupied.

3. Photograph Bingo

Photograph Bingo is a fun way to make and keep memories of your wedding celebration! All you have to do is come up with a Bingo card of wedding moments, that will be distributed to the tables beforehand (perhaps you could even include them with each name place card!). The guests will then try to complete a row of the moments by capturing them in photographs. At the end of the night, the photos can be compiled into a digital scrapbook, or made into a same day edit!
